about
Customer Introduction

Apparel Group, headquartered in Dubai, is a global fashion and lifestyle retail conglomerate with 2,300+ stores and 85+ brands across multiple markets. With 27,000+ employees worldwide, the group continues to drive innovation and deliver exceptional customer experiences across physical and digital platforms.

Challenge Overview

In the fast-paced fashion and retail industry, efficient data management and analytics are critical for growth and competitiveness. Apparel Group, a global fashion and lifestyle retail conglomerate headquartered in Dubai, partnered with F9 Infotech to streamline and automate its data processing operations using AWS Glue. Apparel Group generates massive volumes of sales, customer, and inventory data daily across multiple platforms. Previously, data preparation was handled manually through disparate systems, leading to delays, inconsistencies, and missed opportunities for real-time decision-making.

To address these challenges, F9 Infotech implemented AWS Glue, a fully managed, serverless data integration service. Data from diverse source including ERP platforms, e-commerce portals is ingested into Amazon S3. AWS Glue Crawlers automatically detect schemas and populate the AWS Glue Data Catalog, creating a unified metadata repository. Glue ETL jobs then transform and standardize the raw data into optimized formats such as Parquet, enabling fast and cost-effective querying. This curated data is directly accessible to business analysts and decision-makers through Amazon Athena, powering dashboards that provide insights into sales performance, Inventory optimization, customer behavior, and brand profitability. To ensure security and compliance, AWS Glue integrates with AWS IAM for role-based access control. Automated workflows minimize manual intervention, reduce operational overhead, and allow Apparel Group to focus on delivering superior customer experiences rather than managing infrastructure.

F9 InfoTech’s unwavering commitment to excellence is reflected in the outstanding results we deliver to our clients.

With an expert deployment strategy, F9 Infotech implemented their latest AWS Glue project in the Ireland region, enabling Apparel Group to streamline and automate data processing. Raw files are first uploaded into Amazon S3, where Glue Crawlers automatically detect schemas and update the AWS Glue Data Catalog. Glue ETL jobs then transform raw data into optimized formats such as Parquet, making it ready for analysis through Amazon Athena without requiring manual intervention. To ensure secure and controlled access, IAM roles and Glue job monitoring with Amazon CloudWatch were configured. This enhanced visibility, governance, and operational efficiency across the data pipeline. During implementation, the team faced challenges such as schema mismatches, crawler misconfigurations, and data transformation errors. These were successfully resolved through iterative schema validation, fine-tuning Glue job scripts, and optimizing data partitioning strategies. By leveraging AWS Glue, F9 Infotech delivered a scalable, secure, and automated data integration solution that improves reporting accuracy, accelerates decision-making, and reduces operational overhead underscoring the company’s commitment to excellence in cloud-based data management.
