Challenge Overview

In the competitive restaurant industry, efficient data management is essential for success. Al-Safadi, a leading restaurant group in Dubai, partnered with F9Infotech to modernize their infrastructure using AWS Graviton-based EC2 instances. Graviton, powered by AWS-designed ARM processors, provides significantly better price-performance compared to traditional x86-based instances. By migrating workloads to Graviton, Al Safadi immediately benefited from reduced CPU bottlenecks and lowered their compute costs by up to 40%.
The solution also incorporated AWS Systems Manager to enable agent-based management and patch automation, eliminating the need for direct SSH access and improving operational efficiency. Amazon Inspector was integrated to continuously scan the Graviton instances for vulnerabilities, enhancing security posture without disrupting workflows.

about

For high availability and scalability, the architecture used an Application Load Balancer (ALB) to distribute traffic across multiple Graviton-powered EC2 instances. A CI/CD pipeline using AWS CodePipeline and CodeDeploy was implemented, enabling fully automated deployments. With this Graviton-based modernization, Al Safadi significantly improved application performance, security, and operational agility. The transition to ARM-based compute, paired with a robust deployment and management pipeline, gave Al Safadi a competitive technological edge all while optimizing costs and simplifying maintenance.

Solution Overview

F9 Infotech delivered an exceptional solution to our valued customer, providing them with a secure and versatile cloud computing environment that has transformed their business operations. Leveraging our extensive expertise and adherence to industry best practices, we designed a robust architecture that prioritizes reliability and security.
By closely analyzing traffic, demand, and load patterns, we worked hand-in-hand with our customer to develop a flexible solution. Our recommendation of Amazon Web Services as the optimal hosting platform was a result of careful consideration, as it offers unmatched levels of security, usability, mobility, and an exceptional end-user experience. F9 Infotech's unwavering commitment to excellence is reflected in the outstanding results we deliver to our clients.
With a strategic deployment approach, F9 Infotech implemented a high-performance, cost-optimised cloud solution in the Mumbai region using AWS Graviton-based EC2 instances. The architecture was designed to support modern application workloads with enhanced speed and reduced operational costs. Applications were deployed behind an Application Load Balancer (ALB) to ensure high availability and intelligent traffic distribution.
To streamline deployment and application updates, a CI/CD pipeline was configured using AWS CodePipeline and CodeDeploy. AWS Systems Manager (SSM) was leveraged for secure instance management, patching, and automation, eliminating the need for direct server access. Amazon Inspector was integrated to provide continuous security assessments and identify vulnerabilities in real time. For security, IAM roles and policies were tightly configured, encryption was enforced at rest and in transit, and Amazon CloudWatch was enabled to provide full visibility into system performance and logs. The team encountered challenges such as dependency compatibility on ARM architecture, instance configuration issues, and initial deployment errors. These were efficiently resolved through systematic troubleshooting, automated testing, and architecture tuning.

Solution Overview

F9 Infotech provided our customer with a highly adaptable and secure cloud computing environment that empowered them to run their business with confidence. Our solution was designed in accordance with industry best practices, ensuring maximum reliability and security. Drawing on our analysis of traffic, demand, and load patterns, we collaborated with the customer to develop a scalable and agile architecture. After careful consideration, we recommended Amazon Web Services as the ideal hosting platform, offering unparalleled security, usability, mobility, and an exceptional end-user experience.
F9 Infotech deployed the project in the Mumbai region using a VPC consisting of public and private subnets, along with resources such as AWS Transfer Family, IAM roles, Lambda functions, Amazon S3, and Amazon CloudWatch. The solution implements AWS Transfer Family with an internet-facing VPC endpoint to facilitate secure and automated file transfers from WinSCP to Amazon S3 via SFTP. IAM roles are configured to grant Transfer Family the necessary permissions for seamless S3 interaction, ensuring secure and efficient file storage. Security groups and network ACLs are used to enforce access control and maintain compliance. To automate post-transfer processing, AWS Lambda functions powered by AWS Graviton are used. These event-driven functions compress uploaded files in real-time, significantly reducing S3 storage usage and optimizing them for downstream processing.
Graviton provides superior price-performance, making the solution both performant and cost-effective. Additional Lambda functions also handle file tagging and trigger notifications via Amazon SNS, while Amazon CloudWatch delivers real-time monitoring and logging for complete operational visibility. This fully managed, serverless, and scalable solution eliminates the operational burden of maintaining traditional SFTP infrastructure while delivering high availability, enhanced security, improved performance and cost efficiency for Cyber.

Benefits Delivered to Customer

The implementation of AWS Lambda powered by Graviton has enhanced performance, reduced costs, and simplified operations for the customer. After files are uploaded to Amazon S3, Graviton-based Lambda functions automatically compress and optimize them, cutting storage usage and enabling efficient downstream processing.
This serverless approach offers superior price-performance, while IAM roles, security controls, and Amazon CloudWatch ensure compliance and real-time visibility. The solution reduces operational overhead and delivers a fast, secure, and cost-effective file processing workflow.
