They previously faced challenges with manually managing file transfers from on-premises systems to AWS, leading to delays and errors. F9Infotech implemented AWS Transfer Family with secure FTP (SFTP) integration, automating file transfers from on-premises servers to Amazon S3. This solution utilizes AWS Transfer Family Managed Workflows, which automates file processing tasks such as tagging, virus scanning, and format conversions without requiring custom Lambda functions. This approach improves data control, reduces operational costs, and ensures continuous availability of critical business data. To enhance security and access management, a custom identity provider was integrated using API Gateway, AWS Lambda, and AWS Secrets Manager.

When a user attempts to log in, AWS Transfer Family forwards authentication details to API Gateway, which invokes a Lambda function. This function queries Secrets Manager for user credentials, IAM role mappings, and access permissions, ensuring secure authentication and controlled access to data. With this solution, Al-Safadi has significantly improved operational efficiency, minimized manual intervention, and ensured data integrity.
