about
Customer Introduction

Pixatech is a fast-growing UAE-based technology company that provides mobile-first digital solutions for clients in retail, lifestyle, and e-commerce sectors. Their goal was to build a fully serverless backend to support a mobile application that delivers personalized product content and user feedback across the region, with high scalability, security, and low-latency performance

Challenge Overview

Pixatech needed a fully managed and scalable backend that could:-

  • Support mobile app product browsing and user interactions in real- time.
  • Scale elastically based on unpredictable mobile traffic.
  • Remain cost-efficient with zero server maintenance overhead.
  • Ensure secure and compliant data exchange across APIs.
  • Provide deep observability for debugging, analytics, and performance tuning.

Solution Overview

F9 Infotech delivered a robust, secure, and fully serverless backend API solution for Pixatech to support their mobile application and backend operations. Leveraging the power of AWS-managed services, the backend was designed to be elastic, low- maintenance, and optimized for cost-efficiency and performance, meeting the scalability and agility needs of a modern mobile platform.
We collaborated with the Pixatech team to understand their functional flows, ranging from user profile retrieval, product catalog browsing, to feedback submission. Based on these requirements, Amazon Web Services was selected as the foundation, enabling a serverless architecture with rapid development, built-in security, and seamless integration across services. The backend architecture was implemented using Amazon API Gateway (REST APIs), AWS Lambda, and Amazon DynamoDB. Each API endpoint was mapped to a specific Lambda function with proxy integration, allowing full control of request parsing and business logic. DynamoDB was used for storing user, product, and feedback data, ensuring millisecond-level latency and automatic scaling. The APIs included endpoints such as /users/{userId}, /products, /products/{productId}, and /feedback, designed to serve real-time mobile app use cases.
Security was implemented at multiple layers. AWS WAF protected the APIs from common web attacks like SQL injection and XSS. API Gateway request validation ensured malformed or unauthorized requests were blocked at the edge. Lambda functions were granted scoped IAM permissions to access only the required DynamoDB tables, following least privilege principles. To support observability, CloudWatch Logs and AWS X-Ray tracing were enabled for all Lambda functions and API Gateway stages, providing full visibility into application performance. CloudWatch alarms were configured for Lambda errors, API latency, and throttling events, with the option to trigger notifications via SNS.

Benefits Delivered to Customer

The serverless backend delivered to Pixatech provided exceptional agility, security, and scalability without the burden of infrastructure management. With automated scaling, fine-grained access control, integrated WAF protection, and deep observability via CloudWatch and X-Ray, Pixatech gained a resilient and cost-efficient solution that supports high-performance mobile experiences and accelerates their innovation
