about
Customer Introduction

Fujifilm, founded in 1934, is a global leader in imaging, printing, healthcare, and technology solutions. With a strong presence in the Middle East, Fujifilm offers a diverse portfolio including digital cameras, medical imaging systems, printing solutions, and enterprise services. Renowned for innovation and quality, Fujifilm continuously seeks to enhance customer engagement and deliver value-driven experiences.

Challenge Overview

Fujifilm faced challenges with its legacy environment, including slow-release cycles, manual infrastructure provisioning, and lack of observability into distributed applications. Scaling workloads was costly and time-intensive, while security gaps and compliance requirements created risks during production releases. Fujifilm needed a modern DevOps operating model on AWS with automation, observability, and built-in security to improve developer productivity and reduce operational overhead.

Solution Overview

F9 Infotech modernized Fujifilm’s delivery platform by implementing a serverless and containerized DevOps architecture on AWS. Developers pushed source code from GitHub into a fully automated CI/CD pipeline built with AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and Amazon ECR, ensuring automated builds, testing, and container deployments. Workloads were deployed on Amazon ECS with AWS Fargate, leveraging service discovery for container-to-container communication and running local microservices efficiently.

Security and governance were embedded at every layer: AWS WAF, GuardDuty, and CloudTrail provided continuous threat detection and audit logging; secrets and configurations were managed securely in AWS Systems Manager Parameter Store. Observability was achieved with Amazon CloudWatch for monitoring, AWS X-Ray for distributed tracing, and AWS Backup + S3 for resilience and disaster recovery. Public workloads were distributed globally via Amazon CloudFront and secured behind API Gateway and an Application Load Balancer (ALB). This end-to-end approach ensured compliance, automation, and resilience in line with AWS DevOps Competency technical controls.
