Allsopp & Allsopp is a real estate company based in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). They are one of the largest real estate companies in the UAE, offering a range of services including residential sales, rentals, property management, and commercial sales and leasing. Allsopp & Allsopp specializes in the Dubai property market and offers a wide range of properties, from apartments to villas.

Challenge Overview

Allsopp & Allsopp wanted to host their new CRM application developed internally, with the high availability of their database. This application is meant to serve all the clients and the Sales and Operations team and holds critical data for their business. The customer intends to design their Database with High Availability. Also, they want to restore their database with less RPO & RTO.

Solution Overview

F9 Infotech has provided AWS RDS with MSSQL as the solution to achieve high availability. Based on the business requirement, we provided a solution with RDS with two Subnet Groups in different availability zone which can provide high availability. With this design, in case the primary RDS Instance or the availability zone fails, the read/write traffic will be routed to the Standby RDS instance automatically and, this enables PITR in case if any corruption in the data.

Our solution contains a high-performance block storage service is added for Amazon EC2 for both throughput and transaction-intensive workloads at any scale. The pairing of EC2 instances and EBS Volumes resides safely in the AWS Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) with logically isolated virtual networks.

Auto-scaling is used to launch new instances automatically in case of any failures or spikes in resource utilization on the instances running. Elastic Load Balancer is considered for distributing the network traffic to improve application scalability and an application Load Balancer is used for accessing applications hosted on the EC2 instances.

The customer has seen a remarkable transformation of their business by leveraging multiple native AWS services including Elastic Compute Cloud to host the application and website designated for different operations and provide secure and resizable compute capacity in the cloud. Also, an advanced Layer of security from AWS native services, for data protection an automated backup and notification service to achieve higher uptime.
